Tennessee's 278th Armored Calvary Regiment is scheduled to leave for Camp Shelby in Mississippi for pre-deployment training on or around Sunday, Dec. 5, but soldiers may be able to come home for the holidays before leaving for Iraq in February 2010. Tons of local talent will be appearing for two nights only at the South Baldwin Community Theater, as the SBCT hosts their Performing Arts Scholarship Fundraiser. Friday, Nov. 6 and Saturday, Nov. 7 are the dates for the event, which will feature musical performances from classics like "Showboat" and "Cinderella", to more modern works such as "Evita", "The Little Mermaid" and "Sweeney Todd".
